MEET THE DESIGNER

Hi, I’m Eliza

The founder and creative of Mindful Design Roaring Fork Valley.

I have been obsessed with aesthetics and design ever since I can remember. Nurtured by the combined influences of my father—an architect and the owner of a whitewater rafting company—and my mother, a massage therapist, my upbringing in Northern California became the fertile ground for cultivating a deep appreciation for the artistry of design, beauty, and mindfulness.

I live in the beautiful western slope of Colorado in a small, grass-roots community known as Carbondale. I draw much of my inspiration from nature. Whether it be the pastel hues of a desert sunset, the texture of driftwood, or the emotions evoked on the top of a mountain - the natural world is my forever muse and source of inspiration.

My background as a web designer, writer and content creator is quite diverse. I have a degree in Journalism and spent years as the college newspaper’s editor and design assistant. After I graduated, I traveled abroad for a year and then moved to Colorado. I went through a yoga teacher training and began teaching in the Roaring Fork Valley. Eventually, I delved into the health coaching and yoga retreat world and began building my own websites. Experimenting with my own creativity in this way cultivated an even deeper love for design. I began designing websites and creating content for friends and community and received positive feedback. Clients often share how the simplicity and beauty of my work evokes feel-good emotions. This led me to where I am today!

I desire to contribute to a more beautiful world by supporting others in their purpose and business evolution.
